Kenneth H. Brendel was a Partner at the firm and focused his practice primarily on civil litigation matters involving a wide variety of issues and representative clients. He represented many Northern Arizona governmental entities, including municipalities and school districts, in claims involving civil rights violations, negligence, wrongful discharge, breach of contract and other torts. Mr. Brendel’s representation of non-governmental entities was also widely varied and even lead a case involving the Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act (RICO) and many other tort claims. He represented his clients in all aspects of the legal system. While most cases are resolved by way of an Alternative Dispute Resolution method, such as arbitration, mediation or settlement conference, Mr. Brendel represented his clients as lead counsel in many jury and bench trials in Justice and Superior Courts throughout Northern Arizona and the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona. He was admitted to several tribal courts, and involved with many cases involving tribal issues, including insurance defense, settlements of claims by minors and serving as a court appointed guardian ad litem for minors.
